Original title: Medjuigre 0-24
Played by: Zijah A. Sokolovic
‘Intermezzi 0-24″ is a collection of small reflections that take place in between other more significant life responsibilities, made up of a host of everyday reflections in a form of short stories, some of which compose a mastery of cabaret form, while others change from play to play which runs for about 90 minutes. The primary idea of this play is to encourage people not to ignore the small delights in life that bring calm and peace in the sea of civilisation and capitalism. Cervantes’ Intermezzi were a collection of short stories in between plays, as a break for the audience. Cabaret ‘Intermezzi 0-24’ touches on the pointlessness and lack of logic of the human functioning with the awareness that the human being is caught by the claws of civilisation and loneliness, however this is it’s natural state which can’t be healed but can be eased. It’s about an actor whose inspiration and unbelievable energy doesn’t only satisfy the highest level of hedonism of the audience, but also make their wishes come true. Without any visual or audio effects, Sokolovic keeps the attention of the audience for two hours, possibly because this piece is actually merciless revelation of life.
